Lunacia, we understand how much you missed Axie Classic. Those crits bring back great memories for us as well. This is why we're bringing it back today! You'll also find a flurry of in-game updates including AXP integrations, AXS Reward Pools, and a Grand Tournament Game Mode with a Mystic Axe as a prize. It's going to be a long day, so buckle up and let's get started:
The Cursed Parts
Cursed Coliseum is more than just a game mode: it contains actual curses! Theorycrafting, team compositions, and overall strategies will be enhanced by these chaotic curses. Take note of how curses work below, and beware, be brave:
Each match, a random axis on each team will be cursed.
Two random parts from that cursed axis must be replaced by players.
Once the session has begun, players cannot change axies.
How to Earn AXP in Axie Classic
We introduced Axie Experience Points (AXP) to Origins in July. By playing Origins, players could earn AXP and level-up their axies through a process called Ascension. On-chain NFTs became dynamic for the first time, allowing players to improve them over time, effort, and skill. There's a new way to earn AXP starting today: winning in Axie Classic!
With every victory in Axie Classic, players earn AXP. The more you win, the more you earn, and the higher the stakes become! You can earn AXP in Classic by following these steps:
- After clearing PvE Map 10, you will receive 1 non-stacking free ticket per day. One ticket allows a player to participate in one session.
- A session ends when a player wins 12 times or loses 3 times.
- During a session, you can earn AXP by winning.
- 1 win = 50 AXP per axie
- Max AXP per Axie = 2,400 AXP per day
- Max AXP per player = 3,600 AXP per session
- The first players to get 12 wins will also be eligible for 1,875 AXS prizes.
- You can earn AXP in the Cursed Coliseum by following the steps below.
The first requirement that players must clear PvE Map 10 has been removed for the first three days only. This makes it easier for you to get started right away! The Energy has also been removed, so players can play as much as they like. AXP rewards are still capped, however.
The integration of AXP in Classic opens up new dynamics in the ecosystem, such as AXP farming and piloting. Due to its role in the upcoming Parts Evolution update, high-AXP axies are getting a lot of attention in Lunacia. AXP can be earned by playing games like Classic, Sky Smash, and Origins. There are already more ways to earn AXP on the way.
Grand Tournament Game Mode
Some of Lunacia's fiercest and most skilled warriors have always resided in Axie Classic. Our Grand Tournament Game Mode aims to capitalize on this competitive nature and reward top players. The winner of the Grand Tournament will receive Mystic Axie #1978! In-game registration for the Grand Tournament is available. This announcement will be followed by one week of registration.

It was Axie Classic that brought millions to our movement. This is also where many Lunacians from around the world first met - and the nostalgia is palpable. We celebrate the strong bonds forged through the fire many years ago. We wanted to welcome back our brothers and sisters as Ronin and Lunacia prepare for a new surge of adoptions.
