How to Get the Shovel in Sons of the Forest APK

In Sons of the Forest, you can find the Shovel, along with other crucial survival items such as GPS Locators, a Shotgun, and other useful resources. The Shovel, however, will not be easy to locate, as it is hidden deep within a cave system on the western side of the map.

Before you can attempt to get the Shovel, you'll need two essential pieces of equipment - the Zipline Rope Gun and the Rebreather. This is everything you need to know about finding the Shovel in Sons of the Forest.

Location of the shovel: How to find it

You can find the Shovel in a cave just before reaching the snowy mountains on the west side of the map. On the map below, we've marked the area you should head to.

The outside of the building is filled with three workers who are stuck on spikes. You can get a Slingshot from the cave in the middle before you go inside.

Go inside the cave, pick this up, and break down the boards at the entrance.

Inside the cave, where to find the shovel

As soon as you enter, all you'll see is a sheer drop down into a small body of water with skeletons at the end of this part of the cave. Here you can pick up a few resources, including an Air Tank.

Look up after climbing back up from this pit. You'll see a rope going across and some cloth hanging from it. The next area can be reached by using the Zipline Rope Gun and the cloth.

You can collect some resources such as booze, tape, and meds by going to the right when you drop down in this section. Dive straight down into the water, on the left, to find the tunnel that leads to the next part of the cave.

Continue swimming down until you reach the bottom, then turn around and follow the underwater tunnel. Getting out of the water will take you to the next cave section, but be careful, as there are some cannibals in this area.

The path leads to several items, including a Wetsuit, an Air Tank, and ammo that is sitting by the rocks on the right. Along the way, you'll encounter a few more cannibals before you reach a slope.

Walking towards this will automatically send you sliding down to the next room. After landing the water, turn around and go to the area that is illuminated. Pick up as many resources as you can from this area, as there are many cases with resources inside. Continue onward until you reach the room with a small light illuminating the bodies of workers.

There are cannibals in this room that you can either run from or fight, as well as more resources to collect. Continue your journey toward the shovel by going towards the second light at the back of the room, and through the tunnels. There will be a light shining at the back of a bigger room. You can pick up a Flashlight Attachment by heading towards this body.

In the vicinity of the second light and body is a case containing grenades. Be sure to pick these up if you don't already have any if you want to get out of the cave. After you pass these two lights and the cannibals in the room, turn left to enter the next area.

Having passed the mutant babies, you'll find some more water you need to go into to reach the next cave section. Once you get out of the water, more cannibals will pounce on you.

When the tunnel opens up, go to the right and you'll see a light in the distance. You can avoid a fight by running toward the light and grabbing the shovel if this room is packed with danger.

An all-important shovel is held by the body of a worker by the light. Work your way back through the cave system after grabbing this.

After running through one of the tunnels, you'll hear a big mutant break through. It is here that the Grenade (or any explosive) comes into play. You can reach the cave exit by throwing this at the mutant. The forest will be different from where you entered this cave system.
